From I-74
take the John Deere Road West exit (Illinois State Highway 5) in Moline. Go west 4 miles. On John Deere Road, stay in the right lanes after you pass 7th Street in Moline. John Deere Road will split and the left lands will go on across the Veterans Memorial Bridge at Carr's Crossing, to Milan, or to 52nd Avenue, and the right lanes will curve right onto Black Hawk Road in Rock Island. Continue on past 38th Street, 30th Street and 24th Street; when the surroundings change form commercial to wooded, you're in Black Hawk Park (Black Hawk State Historic Site). The Watch Tower Lodge and the Hauberg Indian Museum will be on the left. You can park in the lot west of the Lodge and walk up the hill, or turn left past the north side of the Lodge and park in the east lot, which is closer to the Lodge and more convenient, especially for the handicapped.

From US 67/ 11th Street in Rock Island
turn east at the traffic light on Black Hawk Road/ 46th Ave. (Illinois Highway 5). Go east 1/2 mile. The Watch Tower Lodge and Hauberg Indian Museum will be on the right.

From i-280 (eastbound from Iowa)
take Exit 15 (Milan exit); turn east on Airport Road and cross the Rock River on Veterans Memorial Bridge at Carr's Crossing. Stay in the right land and follow the signs to Black Hawk Road. Then continue on west to the park as directed above. Alternate route: on Airport Road, turn west through Milan, cross the Rock River on U.S. 67 and turn right at Black Hawk Road.
